ROUND 1: Trivial Pursuit Round

ROUND 2    CROSSWORD CLUES

2) 7 letters 3rd letters is "a" and 4th is "f".. to rub and cause irritation or friction. CHAFING

4) 6 letters 3rd is "l"... to join ropes by interweaving strands. SPLICE

6) 7 letters 2nd and 3rd are "e" the side sheltered away from the wind. LEEWARD.

ROUND 3-SPEED ROUND- Before the next round we do a speed round; They do not use their answer sheets for this.

Players are given a folded paper. Inside is an easy round. We tell the players not to open until we say go and to put their name on the outside of the paper. We announce on your mark… etc. The 1st to get it to us with all the correct answers gets a $10.00 gift card. This breaks up the game and gets the players excited.

 

Our speed round for Superbowl week was a list of Football players, All Giants or Patriots and they had to put what they were next to the name. 

ROUND 4 Potluck

1)   This Philistine warrior, is famous for his combat with the young David, the future king of Israel.  Answer; Goliath

 

2)   This character was Created by Johnathon Swift.  In his “travels” he often encountered very small people. Name him

Answer; Gulliver

 

3)   An American famous for his role in the American Revolution and Boston Tea Party… although many people are not drinking tea when they think about him.

Answer; Samuel Adams

For a bonus 2 points what do all the above have in common;(all six)

answer; Giants and/or Patriots

 * It was quite amusing that the majority of the players did not get the bonus despite the fact that our speed round was all Giants and Patriots and the Superbowl was 2 days later. They were all kicking themselves.

Round 4 SPORTS ROUND SUPERBOWL

1) There are only four NFL quarterbacks to win more than 2 super bowls.... NAME THEM? 1 POINT FOR EACH CORRECT ANSWER. 

Possible answers: TERRY BRADSHAW, TOM BRADY, JOE MONTANA, TROY AIKMAN

4) Name the two nfl franchises with the most super bowl appearances? 

Answer; DALLAS COWBOYS AND SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS. Each with (8)

5) Of NFL teams that have played in the super bowl more than once, who has the greatest winning percentage? 

Answer; San Francisco 49ers 5 for 5

 

FREE BONUS- The last round is audio round. 6 song clips 20-30 seconds long. They are all in one file mp3. The players are asked to name the Title and artist. There is usually a theme, for example: all have elements” in the title or artist name. example  Fire, rain, wind, etc.

* If you do not have the means to play an audio file we suggest you put together a music round as it is a crowd favorite.
